Im going to start work developing a new template for the forum soon and I am using this thread as an ideas thread, so if you have any suggestions on what the colour scheme, buttons, icons etc could be please post your ideas.

I will also start posting screenshots of the template (work in progres) whilst I am on making it so you can tell me any ideas that you think would go well with it.

It will take a while to make (maybe a couple of weeks) and I will probably start work on it in a couple of days.

Templates are relatively easy to change I think, you just log on as editor and go to somewhere on the control panel.

Anyway, make sure you keep the colour light, and it should also be easy to tell if there have been new posts.

Its not going to just be a default template, Im going to use the current one as the base and change the colours, buttons, style etc.

As If I use the current template as the base it will save me having to do all the template editing that I have done to the current template to add hacks such as the posting panel.

Although im going to use the current one as the base you probably wont recognise it after Im finished.

OK, hez suggested either a football themed template, or if possible a the4aces themed template, I liked the idea of the4aces themed template so I started work on it, heres what I have so far.
(still no-where near finished and I know Ill need to change the text as well as the graphics.)

Im thinking about keeping the current template as well and making it so people can choose between them just incase people think its too dark.
