This is a page for any rumours or even transfers that have or are about to happen. Don't say, Aston Villa are close to signing Ronaldinho, cos there not.

Gareth Bale has moved to Spurs. Now all they need is another left winger or a central midfielder to be almost as good as Liverpool.

Liverpool have signed Dimitar Berbatov's old strike partner from Bayern Levshken. Andriy Icantspellit I apparently Robbie Fowler's replacement.

Nani is a target for Man U, but Aresenal and Liverpool are also after him. Tottenham see him as the left winger I mentioned. United are also closing in on Owen Hargreaves for the 30,674th time

Chelsea beat... everyone to sign Steve Sidwell from Reading. Something-or-other Cisse (neither Djrbril or the old Pompey one) as signed for the royals, but is not a direct replacemnt.

Man City and newcaslte are being taken over.

Aresenal have signed some young goalkeeper, i belive he's called Luis Fabwinkski but i might be wrong.

Theres a lot of rumors floating around Anfield as a result of Gillet and Hicks backing Rafa plans.

Rafa is after 2 more midfielders with creativity:

Rafael Van Der Vaart may be one. He will be available for very cheap money–around 8mil and he will replace the Spain–bound Luis Garcia who Benitez feels isn't one of the players who can pull it off every week. Previously, Rafa has dealt with his inconsistency, but with funds, Luis will be replaced.

The other midfielder Benitez is looking at is Daniel Alves who will compete with Pennant but can also fill in at right back. He will cost in the region of 15mil

Rafa plans to sign 2 strikers (as well as Voronin)

Carlos Tevez is said to be a chance coming in and Liverpool will should spash out 25mil to get him.

Eto'o is also on the list, but is less likely then Tevez in my opinion. Torres's name has also been floating around as well as possibly Michael Owen. Which should set the reds back around 17 and 9 Mil respectively. Other names circulating for that illusive spot up front are David Villa (unlikely) and Bent.

Rafa backs his defense so I believe only one defender will arrive. This will be Gabriel Milito for around 13mil. Although Rafa trusts Agger, he feels in some matches he is going to struggle. Milito will also provide excellent cover and will push for first team, unlike Hyypia.

Riise may be leaving for the right price.

I'm not saying this is concrete as this is mostly rumors and hear say, especially with some of Rafa's signings in the past anything could happen. But this is the "Transfer Rumors" topic and I see my predictions as Educated Speculation.

It is rumoured that it will happen in january as LA Galaxy have a big season break, and Beckham has admitted that he doubts he would be able to keep his fitness for the England squad without playing matches now that he has been recalled.
so it is rumoured to be a loan of about 3 months during LA Galaxy's season break.

Hmmm a few interesting ones for Liverpool there, Van der Vaart would be a very good buy for them, Tevez too. David Villa is outta their price range i reckon, only Chelsea could afford him.

I think/am hearing Man Utd are going to try to sign Torres, but they will need a massive amount of cash AND make him leave cause he wants to stay at Atletico for life

Oh and Henry is supposedly going to Barcelona . Well if they do sign him, Eto'o is coming to the EPL i think

I wouldn't worry about Henry, but I think Eto'o will be leaving Barca regardless. Villa has a massive release clause and is probably even out of Chelski's price range.

As I understand it, Beckham will have time to spend in the Premiership each season, as the US season is short, and he is likely to turn out for Tottenham because it is near his Hertfordshire home.

Arsenal are also interested.

The great scandinavian striker did the same for Man U this season. |
That's the model. So Beckham would be both very fit and also very sharp.

And it seems that Ferguson still covets Berbatov. Crouch to tottenham? We must keep The Berb!
Tottenham big need is still a real good stopper centre back, to free up Ledley. I had hoped they would have gone for Woodgate, my favourite.

For clubs like Tottenham I see rotation as the big problem. Players want to play. Just look at poor Defoe's situation. We are not seeing the best of him, so why on earth are Tottenham closing in on Michael Owen?

I don't know what Liverpool Supporters will make of this rumour but...

Quote:
Newcastle United boss Sam Allardyce is planning a £10 million bid for Liverpool centre-forward Peter Crouch.
The Times says twice thwarted in his attempts to sign Crouch while in charge at Bolton Wanderers, Allardyce is hoping to strike it third time lucky this summer.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is ready to sell Crouch, but wants a replacement lined up first before doing any business.

I use a site which usually has very reliable sources as well.

Yeah ive been hearing that, plus if they sell Crouch and Bellamy they could make a bid of Villa or Torres

O'Neill seems to want Bellamy at Villa so they can go for a European spot

'Rafa told me I won't be sold' - Crouch

Looks like Crouchy is staying at Anfield.

I don't know why any team would want to sell crouch. he is great on anyone's bench, the worst way. Like him or not, he is goals.

Thats right, he's also quite versatile and has been the center of many of Rafa's strategies. The tall player always has the advantage in the air and you don't get much taller then Peter.

Agreed, ive dissed Crouch heaps in the past, but i now think hes a pretty handy striker. Liverpool should get rid of Bellamy, hes Hey look, the swear filter works.......he can run pretty fast, thats about it . They need a world class striker, and if they spend big they'll prolly get one. Someone quick to run onto Crouch headers would be good lol
