I think both you and all the respected commentators are completely wrong. You all wanted a goal fest to fit the occasion. What you got was a fantastic tussle between 2 teams of the world's greatest players, evenly matched, playing great team football, each determined to win this historic clash. Hardly any mistakes, generally NOT passing to the opposition, marking very tight, very quick on the ball and for the ball. Brilliant. I couldn't take my eyes off for a moment. One brilliant strike was always threatened and would win it. Rooney nearly did it.
How many goals did anyone think there would be between these two great teams. The 2 managers played a fantastic chess match of wills. It would have been the best 0-0 I have ever seen, but for the last moment goal which seperated them. Fabulous. As for the famous critics of the game -none of them would have got into those teams, and I say that as a fan of theirs. As for Gabby's comments, her Dad would not even have made the reserves, and I am not being disrespectful, just putting matters into perspective and giving credit where it is due. Congratulations teams, for a wonderful demonstration of team football, and thank you Alex and Jose.
And remember - I speak as a neutral. More than that, as a Spurs fan.

i thought it was the crappest game i'v ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!
it was sooooooooooo dull with hardly any chances xcept 4 drogbas goal with 4 mins to go in xtra-time!
i wish i'd watched the goal just as i turned on the tv rather than watch the whole game!
its 145 minutes of my life i ent gettin bak! lol
(145 mins - 90 normal mins, 5 mins of injury time, 15 mins half-time, 5 mins in between full-time n xtra-time, 30 mins xtra-time!)

i was there in wembley!!! Boring but the second half came bit to life!! Gigg's goal would be dissaloved anyway. It's like you kick goalkeeper in a head so he flies into the goal with the ball in his hands!!! What a goal

I with Dan on this one sure it was a great display of skill and respect for each team, the pundits like to see an exciting game, you don't need to make mistakes to concede goals they can just as easily be scored by brilliance.

Yeah hopefully the CL final wont be such a poor match, but im thinking with a team as talented as Milan on the ball theres no chance of that

How can you admire Italian football and complain about the FA Cup Final. Only the Premiership tries to retain the real character of football. Cynical, cheat and win if you have to does not sit well for me. Man u got fairly pipped to the post unfortunately for them, and the only dodgy bit for me were the bleating complaints from Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs (even) that their alleged goal was over the line, when it patently wasn't until Giggs pushed the goalkeeper over the line ball and all.
I don't go for that. All the battling should go on for 90 mins, then shake hands and walk away, win or lose.
So enjoy the European cup guys. It will only be a great game if Liverpool make it so, and i hope they really kick some ass, unlike Alex Ferguson, who is backing Milan. (I am spiiting on the ground.) So disagree all you want guys , I stick to my guns on this one, and our teams will dominate Europe next season. We have only failed in the past by being robbed. First by the Man U crash, which halted a ten year domination, and then by the European ban, which i would never be surprised to see brought back at the slightest excuse.

when was that exactly? Why would Kuyt push away his mate Kalou, and have you considered that Mikel is bigger and stronger than Kuyt? On top of that, your a fine one to talk, your a chelsea fan!

most boring man united game of the season, thanks to chelsea it was a closed game with only a few slight chances and 1 goal in 120 minutes. nuff said.
