Football TriviaThis is a football trivia game, basiclly someone asks a question and everyone else tries to answer. Whoever answers correctly gets to ask next:
Two simple rules:
1. No opinions eg. "Who is the greatest player in the world" as they will change. You can say "Who won world player of the year in 2006" which is fact that's differnt.
2. Proffsional football only, so not "Who was top scorer in the Hicks Development Legue Under 5 Divsion 7 in the 2000-01 season?"
I'll start with a simple one:
Who were the only English team not to have a player sent off last season? (05-06)?
That's easy when you rember who I support

Brian Clough, manager of Notts Forest at the time. Got him right between the eyes as he entered the dressing room after the game, having given away a goal with a back pass. As came round and looked up off the floor, Clough was bent over him saying 'Don't pass back' -( ref Roy Keane autobiography.)
Question - Who said 'Always remember there are 2 great teams in Liverpool, not just one. - Liverpool and Liverpool reserves.'

Yep great answer. Neil was prbably going to be England's greatest centre-half(centre-back). A real class act. Players then were lucky to make even £20 a week. Bogota the columbian team came and gave contracts to Neil Franklin and 2 others' also just making the England team. One was a well known red headed Everton player, i forget his name. Anyway, the three were banned for life for signing with Bogota and their careers ruined. Sad.
Your answer - was it crystal palace?

Who is the only Captain of England to play for Scunthorpe?
|
imBatman
|
Kevin Keegan. I am fairly positive that Ray Clemence once played for Scunthorpe as well> If so there are two possible answers.
|
StevieCoppellisaGod

Actually, the answer was Ian Botham. It might not have been Scunthorpe, maybe it was Southend. It was a small team in the lower leagues that begun with S. Heard it on the cricket commentry months ago.
Your turn for a question imBatman.
