Ok, I know everyone is bored of waiting for the4aces to be re-released.

I was thinking, what if we become a general footy forum?

Advantages
1. We could get on with trying to make the forum better and bigger, no more waiting for the4aces.
2. If it is about footy in general it will appeal to a broader audience.
3. We could still have a section about online footy manager games (just one forum though) where you could chat about ANY footy manager game.
4. We could have more areas such as Premieship Chat, Championship Chat, Other English League Chat, International Footy Chat etc...

Dis-Advantages
We wouldn't be asociated with the4aces if it does ever get re-released (no link on their game, no free codes or whatever to give away as prizes.)

This will be a big decision for the forum and it will not be a rushed decision, so there is plenty of time to talk about it and don't be afraid to say what you really think.

The difficulty is that there are loads of fotty forums already, how can we set ourselves apart?

I'm behind the idea in principle. However, if we do switch over it will require a lot of work from not just ub and myself, but also all our current members. No-one will register in an empty forum.

Freddie, I know I say this quite a bit but do you know why hottnott isn't posting/ Does he simply think the forum is as dead in th water as it was before Greg announced the revival of the 4 aces.

What about suimply expanding our footy chat section? We'd have to find a way to get a few more members to join and speed up the process initially as I'm not sure we'd get a structured conversation going (even with hottntott, hez, inter etc., in fact that might make it worse!)

I think the main reason we've been inactive for a while is the fact that half our forums are dead. No the4aces chat, no results, no bonus codes, no ideas, etc. Cue the 4 aces starting again tomorow.

You could make a different general footy forum and get everybody from the 4aces forum to join to start it off and advertise it on here so we can keep our special 4aces one lol

I think we should press ahead with "the changes". Then, if we start a "bring along a friend" policy to liven the place up with new users, we could start getting some more posts.

However, do not link here on other websites. We don't want anyone coming initially. Maybe if we indentify a few forums it would be save to advertise on, etc., but not straight away- we'll need to be active for that to happen.

We are now a football forum- though we will still support fourfaces and have a section dedicated to it.
