Yeah I agree. And it seems that everybody but Man United fans still hate him! Fair enough - good freekick.. but not the best ever.

if you think about the way he hits it its almost impossible he slices it across the top of the ball with turmendous power aswell thats probably why its been named the best free kick ever
i admit i used to hate his guts he used to be a real show off and still is a bit and i hated him also for the world cup .but i gotta admit hes stopped all that by a long way but does it a little and knows when to do tricks and when not to

It's named best free kcik ever BY A UNITED FAN. It's not even the best PL free kick tis season, Elano's was better (the one where he hit it from 40 yards and it flew in a straight line to the top corner)
You obviously didn't see
1. Ronaldinho's free kick against England at the 2002 WC
2. A certain legandary brazillian who invented the "falling leaf" free kick- think it was Jarzinrinho

no i dont think it is the best free kick ever . but its been on match of the day and on sky sports news and everyones said its the best ever .

This was before they invented video cameras, let alone YouTube! If we're lucky there will be a black and white tape somewhere of one of them. Basically, he'd kick it over the wall towards the top right corner (or top left), but then it would suddenly curve and dip down to the bottom left corner (or bottom right). It worked time and time again because keepers didn't know if it would actually fall or if it would fly straight into the top corner. One of my mates has tried to copy it, but he can't get it to fall. FYI, te guy who took them was called Didi. He'll have been before your dad's time. The portuguese for falling leaf is Folha Seca. I'll look on youtube just in case.
2 other Brazillian legends it's wrth checking youtube for- Roberto Rivelinho and Leonidas.
(may I point out, Ronaldo didn't mean to do that either)

he did mean to do it because they asked fergie after the match if he meant to do it and he says after training when everyone hits the showers he stays out and practices the similiar sort of free kicks
|
StevieCoppellisaGod

Ronaldo didn't mean to do it. If, as you say, it's almost impossible, then surely practicing it would also be impossible?
|
Sir Van Nistelrooy
|
say alomst impossible is lyk a 1/10 chance
tht would be how many times he could get ir rite so i think he meant to do it
|

A player like Ronaldo won't try to do something he only has a 1/100 chance of scoring.

This is all coming from a United fan. SVN says he doesn't think it's the best freekick ever, yet he names this topic "The Best Free Kick Ever". Two, Ronaldo hasn't changed one bit - and that is what winds me up about him. Man Utd fans just forgive and forget what he did to England in the World Cup.

i named it that because thats what everyone has been calling it , and he has changed , i absolutely used to hate him , he was so annoying when he tried to do his tricks and mess up he was so big headed , he has improved now and uped his game ,he does just the amount of tricks and then passes a ball ,he's improved no end

He's the same as he was. You're only saying this because you're a United fan.

Freddie- Are you saying people shouldn't forgive and forget? So should the world still hate Cantona, Beckham, Grosso, Robben, Pires, Matterazzi, Campell, Thatcher (well, him maybe), and so forth because of stuff that they did a long time ago? what about Woodgate at Spurs? Do you know what he did to Lee Bowyer when they were at Leeds togther? Or Chimbonda for leaving Wigan, who raised him from nothing to great right back, and handing in a transfer request directly after the final match of the season? Or Zokora, for being Zokora? You get me?
SVN- Are you saying Ronaldo isn't still a diver?
|
Sir Van Nistelrooy
|
he doesnt dive as much as he used to , but now he's good at it lol
but alot of players dive now adebayor got booked earlier today ,ballack won 2 peno's for chelsea quite a while back
and gotta say stevies made some good points above

He still cheats, he still dives, and he is still the complete %$^& he was two years ago.
|
Sir Van Nistelrooy
|
yes the first 2 are true but are the same basically ,even though he does them less
|
StevieCoppellisaGod

Winning a penalty in itself is not diving y'know.
Freddie- answer my question!

We should forgive and forget if they stop doing it. For example, say someone stole £100 from your wallet. Years later, if that person had changed or grew up a little, you might forgive him and forget it.
But when you're talking about Ronaldo, he hasn't changed one little bit.
|
Sir Van Nistelrooy
|
no i wudnt forget it and forgive him . id ask him for my £100 back then forgive him
