Rosicky might be better this season, look at drogba, Essien and even Henry himself, players take time to settle. Same for Ballack and Sheva.

Yeah lol i agree with that, seems EPL players take a year to fire up. But even a fired-up Rosicky cant replace Henry, we need a world class striker. Maybe Trezeguet.......

Over here, anelka, Owen and Martins are being suggested. Hard to see Anelka bought back and Martins isn't that great, but Owen is a definate maybe.

Also today, on the back pages of most of the tabloids (The Sun, The mail, The Mirror etc):

Barca bid £15milllion for Fabregas/ Barca to Faregas: You're next/Real and Barca make £14 million cesc bid etc

I doubt Wenger would go for Owen, supposedly he likes Martins though. Eto'o is still a possibility though.

And about Fabregas, i doubt Barca will bid, they just bought Yaya Toure. DUnno bout Real though, its a definite possibility

Why do you not think he'll go for Owen? He's English and more famous than Martins (more shirt sales) and his release clause is lower (Owen £9 mil, Martins £11/12000000)

In other news, Liverpool are supposedly closer to signing Fernando Torres for around £25 mill

Hang on, I can fill you in some more. On Monday (I think) Athletico said they'd do it for Crouch plus cash. Then on Tuesday, Liverpool said that they'd do Bellamy plus cash. On Wednesday, Athletico Madrid fans threatened to cause a riot. Can't blame them, Torres, Rodriges (spelling) and Aguero are they're only decent players.

Cole and Campbell and Hoyte and Walcott have all been English, obviously Wenger prefers French (Henry, Viera, Pires, Wiltord, Anelka, Flamini, Almunia?, Clichy, Aliladiler, and Ribery and Trezguet that he's been linked to)

We(Everton) really need a new center back. Phil Jagielka would be the perfect signing.

I'd love to see Manny Fernandes again but I somewhat doubt it.

Right, quick update.

Birmingham just signed some uncapped Brazilian defender

Aresenal signed Ecuardo da Costa and Luis Fabwinski, plus someone else who's name I forgot.

Jagielka has signed for Everton.

Fulham want Dimansy and Henri Carmara

West Ham have offered £10 million plus Benyon for Cisse and Bellamy. Cisse's not going there though so they change the deal to £8 million (no Benyaoun)

And the biggest shock since Tevez and Mahrano
