Yeah, except he can't defend for his life this season! Very good at attacking though.

I was thinking that, but that'd mean putting Hunt or Convey at left back or else Scott Golbourne (our academy left back who's just finished a loan at Bournemouth) who has only played twice for us in the league, and we were already winning one of them 5-0 when he came on, but anyway...

Notice the amount of exclmation marks next to former Newcastle players or managers. I'll just go put a few next to Allerdyce

International flavor?

Look no further than Martin Jol.

Yeah, I would like Jol, but I still think Hiddink would be better, for one thing Hiddink mainly manages international teams and they do well (Japan, Russia, and I think he managed Australia too)

What about Mancini or Ancelloti, the Milan managers? Think I spelt Ancelloti wrong though

Who'd want Shearer? Fact: he'd suck.

Coppell caretaker, Hiddink, Capello, Mourinho or possible Jol, Lippi or Mancini in the long run.

Shearer knows nothing about management, Hiddink, Cappello, Lippi, Manicini, Mourinho and Klinsman do.

Pearce, Lee, Coppell and Southgate also match those critera, and they all have more managerial experince than Shearer.

Klinsman was a better player than any of them, you can't call Hughes a bad player either. Steve Bruce should have played for England but for some strange reason was never picked.

What did being English do for Steve McClaren? Does being English automatically make you manage the England national team better?

PS Sven was England's best ever manager in terms of percentage of games won, he was also their only ever forign manager
