The following is an extract from the official Freddie Boston website telling us all about his future Football Management game, which is set for release between the end of February and the start of April:
Over the past month and a half of so, I’ve been asking a lot of people for ideas on what they want to see in the upcoming Online Football Manager game, “Footie Stars Manager”. Well, it is all official now if you like, and I will briefly run through the features of the game.
Okay, first things first. The Homepage. Now, this will not be your team’s home, but the home of the website. So the place you’ll visit once you have typed in the URL of the site. On here you’ll be able to read about the past, latest and future updates which have or will been/be made. You’ll also be able to read facts. For example, one might be “The Biggest Win of the Week”, but then again..
For this to work properly, you’ll need to be able to sign up. So next in the Navagation is the Register page. On here you will select your Manager Name, Team Name, Stadium Name, your Player’s Names among other features.
Now, the next part is mainly for new players to the game. So after you’ve signed up and had your team profile created, you’ll need to read the “Guide”. The Guide basically has all of the information you need to know about the game. There are the Rules, Tips, The Guide, the weekly schedule and more.
The next few pages will start to get interesting. Up next is the “Teams” page, where you’ll be able to navagate through each team’s profile page. You’ll be able to view your/their stats, stadium information, ticket prices, players and their stats and everything else that you will need to know. Each Profile will have the same sections on. So, everything you know about your team will be the same as what you know about everybody else’s team. Unless of course, you keep some hidden tactics.
Want a match? Then the Friendly page can help you. You can search a team to challenge for the next scheduled “Friendly day”. Friendlies take place on Monday’s. You can’t book a friendly for any other day of the week. Friendlies won’t improve your player stats, earn you money or other good things. But your players also can’t get injured, if they get a Yellow or Red it won’t count towards a ban and so on. Friendlies are just there for a bit of fun, and to try out different players in different positions, different formations and so on.
The Events page is next. You’ll be able to visit the League’s, their information (Tables, Teams, Awards etc.), Cups, Cup Information and more.
Every Tuesday your players will train. That’s why there is a Training section. Here you can set four different Training Regimes, for four different Teams made of players of your choosing to train that aspect of the game. (For example, “Weights” would focus mainly on training a player’s strength). You can then select which players you would like to take part in each team, and wait to see the results. (Note: a player can earn or lose points in Training.)
Here comes the Transfers. Use this to find, buy, sell and ignore different players. If there is a player for sale, then you can see the player’s value, and place a bid. Once you’ve done this, you’ll have to wait for the bid to be accepted or rejected by the player’s team’s Manager. If you decide to pull out at the end once it has been accepted, you can.
One of the most important and most fun features of the game. The Stadium section. Use this to build or tear down parts of your stadium. You’ll have to think carefully before buying any upgrade to the stadium. For it can cost a lot of money. Parts of the stadium include: Stands, Pitch Covers, Undersoil Heating, Training Grounds, Youth Development, Toilets, Lighting, VIP Facilities, a Big Screen(s), Parking and more. Each of these will help increase your fans/merchandise sales and so on, but could also cost a lot of money. Each upgrade will put your selected section up a level. (Level 1, 2, 3 etc.). The higher the level, the better/bigger/more it/there is.
Last but not least, the Extra page. Here you’ll be able to visit Television Broadcasts of each Premiership game, and important Cup clashes. It will be a text broadcast highlighting the main parts of the match. It will give the players ratings, select a Man of the Match, and give all of the Stats of the Match (Possession, etc.). Also on the Extra page, you’ll be able to enter Bonus Codes which have been earned/bought. You’ll be able to appeal Red Cards, Complain to Game Staff or Report other Teams. _________________ Rolls: (3d6)
i must say if the game turns out lyk above it will be awesome . even better than the 4aces because you have included all their things and added loads more and even improved there ideas .
I'm officially putting this game on hold if you like. Reason is that I'm working on a racing video game on a programme I've just discovered. I'm also doing it at school so it could actually help me get higher marks if I decide to use the idea in my project. _________________ Rolls: (3d6)
Ok. Over the last few days I've been learning something that could make for a great game. That is of course HTML. I am learning it now and have completed lots of tutorials around the web, and I'm starting to be able to build some of my own websites. It might take a little longer, but I might make Footie Stars Manager by coding it all myself, too.
