Hey all. I'm Michael. Sorry to say that I'm not a sports fan at all, but ... okay ... if there was a sport I'd get into it would be football. Yeah, I know we're backward over here in the US and we call it "soccer." No biggie. This site still looks cool. It reminds me a little of Man Utd Forum (of which I'm also a member), except you have a lot more topics unrelated to football for misfits like me.
Nah, I'm more of a nerd (I hate the word geek), or maybe a cross between an old hippie and a nerd. I like fantasy and science fiction in almost any medium, be it TV, film, books, or comic books and graphic novels (except manga). I love anime of the speculative genres, but so far my experience with manga has been negative. Nothing wrong with it, I just can't get used to the conventions, and I like to have color in my comics. Okay, that's not really fair, since I have enjoyed some of the Conan magazines that are in black and white. It isn't the right to left format that bothers me; it's the fact that the the stories are related in a way in which I'm not accustomed - they're told, drawn, and generally expressed differently.
I edit and publish a free fantasy E-zine too. Always looking for a good story.
I'd seen a post you left at the support forums. At first I had thought about doing something like that affiliates banner you have up top, because it looks cool. I decided against it, though, since I think my forum looks a bit crowded at the top after including the Amazon associates ads. Instead I reworked the portals to give my affiliates preference.
Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome, Stevie!
EDIT: Oh, and someone named u1bd registered at my forum and left a couple posts (which I appreciated). Is that the same u1bd that's here?
